For decades man has tried to create the ultimate party and it seems that Nintendo has taken man one step closer by revealing Mario Party 8.

Mario Party 8

Nintendo 2007, Video Game, $38.00

Mario Party 8 or simply MP8 is another game that relies totally one the Wii being the life of the party. The game sticks to the lines of all Mario Party games with all new arena’s and games to try. When playing the game it is once advised to play with friends and if you don’t have any, invite the neighbours around. The game itself consists of a variety of exciting radical games that are loads of fun when playing with a group. But I would not advise to purchase this game if you intend to just play against the computer. You will soon find yourself disheartened if you are in this predicament. Mario Party 8 now takes advantage of the Wii remote and it will either be used to shoot on screen or turn it sideways and it becomes a simply remote. The Graphic’s in the games are alright, but if you intend to buy the game just for the graphics I advise you not too.

But in all Mario Party 8 has certainly revitalized the franchise and given it a much needed boost to keep you playing and slagging your friends for hours and hours to come. I suggest you play the game with as many friends as possible to maximize your fun and keep you laughing with the games antics.

Cheers and Enjoy…. I certainly did.

Preview - Boogie

Well when I first heard of this title I thought “great here we go again… another singstar wannabe” but what I found was quite different. The game seems to be a cross between Guitar Hero and Singstar, but with the obvious Wii Twist.

Boogie (Microphone Included)

Electronic Arts 2007, Video Game, $17.99

Boogie, much like many of the other Wii games is best played in a party atmosphere and the game lives or dies by it.

Players will have to sing and dance to the beat of music ranging from the 60’s right up to today and pull of some crazy dance moves on the way. The game is another Wii party started but due to this the game lacks any length and will be over just as the party ends. After finishing the storyline you will soon receive some new outfits and money to buy items.

Like most party games Boogie is a game for all and will be enjoyable and fun for all. Plenty of laughs, spills and thrills will be seen as you and your mates battle it out to see who really is the life of the party. (more…)
