Punch-Out, a classic NES game, has been revamped by Nintendo and made into a brand new Wii game. It was developed by Next Level Games, and released in May of 2009. The new version has become just as popular as the old one, if not more so. It’s clever cartoony graphics keep gamers happy, while it’s intuitive control scheme and accurate motion control make the game fun for casual gamers and even young kids.

Punch-Out is a boxing game, but it’s not a simulator. It’s not exactly realistic like Fight Night or similar games, so if that’s what you’re looking for I suggest you steer clear of this game. Punch-Out is more of an arcade game with some twists. There are a total of 13 characters that you can play with, each with their own personalities, quirks, and special moves and abilities. None of these characters are new – they are the exact same characters that were featured in the original Punch-Out games. (more…)
